Without a doubt, 2018 was a fantastic year for video games. It was difficult to limit our selection to just ten games because so many excellent games were published across a wide range of genres and platforms. But eventually, after considerable consideration, here are our recommendations for the year’s top video games.
The first place winner is Spider-Man from Marvel.
It was a close call because so many excellent games were released this year, but Spider-Man narrowly beat out the opposition. The feeling of playing as Spider-Man is brilliantly captured in this nicely made game. The story is one of the greatest we’ve seen in a video game, and the action is smooth and enjoyable. The swinging mechanics are also excellent.
Marvel’s Spider-Man is a must-play if you’re a fan of Spider-Man or just searching for a fantastic superhero game.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is ranked second.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is the only open-world game you need to play if you want something engaging and immersive. It’s a sizable game with a tonne of activities, all of which are set in a gorgeously realised setting. The characters are intriguing, the plot is compelling, and playing the game is just fun all around.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the best games of the year, so if you haven’t played it yet, you should.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered comes in third.
This updated edition of Assassin’s Creed III is the finest way to play this somewhat classic but excellent game. It has been updated to perform at a fluid 60 frames per second on contemporary platforms and comes with all the DLC. It’s nice to see the game getting new life on modern technology because it’s still a lot of fun.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered is unquestionably worth playing if you’re an Assassin’s Creed fan or just want to check out one of the series’ earlier titles.
Resident Evil 7 biohazard – Gold Edition comes in at number four.
This Gold Edition of Resident Evil 7 is the only way to play the game and represents a return to form for the Resident Evil franchise. One of the best horror games in recent memory, it will have you on the edge of your seat with its tension and creepiness.
Resident Evil 7 biohazard – Gold Edition is a must-play if you enjoy playing horror games or are just searching for a nice shock.
We have Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition at sixth place.
One of the best open-world games we’ve ever played is Horizon Zero Dawn, and this Complete Edition, which contains all of the DLC, is the only way to play it. If you haven’t already, you should give this gorgeous game with an engaging plot a try.
